My branch is Headway Hurstwood Park in Newick, Sussex and if it was\'nt for them I would have had no one when I was recovering from a Brain Tumour removal some 15 months ago. The NHS down in Sussex and especially Eastbourne is next to useless and dump the responsability of care onto charities like Headway. They made a complete mess of my discharge from Hurstwood Park Neurological Hospital and it was a year before it came to light what had happened. Things are now being sorted out by my MP Nigel Waterson who has shown great interest in the problems suffered by ABI\'s especially after the revelations by the TV program Dispatches who critisised the care given by the local Trusts in the Eastbourne area.Public awareness is a real problem and Headway Hurstwood Park is making great efforts to make even GP\'s aware of the after effects of a Brain injury.
