We are a community organisation providing savings, loans and offering financial advice. The Credit Union is non-profit making body owned and run by its members.

By helping our members grow their savings we are keeping money within the area and strengthening our local community.

Annual General Meeting, 2011

Our 2011 Annual General Meeting was held on Tuesday, 15th November. Chair, Sandra Bradshaw gave her annual report and Alex Duff, Treasurer, presented the accounts, which have been agreed by the auditors.

Apart from the re-election of officers, the important remaining order of business was to agree the annual rate of dividend due to members. Alex Duff proposed the rate be set at 2.05% for 2011. This was passed by the members present. Alex noted that this rate is substantially higher than that offered on comparable accounts by the high street banks.

We have moved!

NEWCU Office

We have outgrown our former premises at Vulcan Close, Padgate. Due to the growth in our membership and our financial success, we have been able to purchase our own building.

We have moved to the former Post Office building at 2 Cinnamon Lane, Padgate, pictured here.
